MUNA YOUSEF
Muna started dabbling with paint and colors before entering university. She majored in Computer Science and embarked on an IT career for several years, leaving her artistic inclinations dormant.
While pursuing her graduate degree in computer science at George Washington University, she stumbled upon some Fine Art courses at her university and at Washington Studio school of Art, Washington DC. Her career took on two parallel paths, IT and Art.
After earning her PhD in computer science, she worked in an IT position in Houston, Texas. The evenings were spent drawing and painting at Glassell school of Art in Houston. After two years, Muna took a leap of faith and left her IT job and went to Italy. She immersed herself in learning the Italian language and painting. She had her first exhibit in Bologna in 2006, in a two person exhibit.
Fast forward one year later she jumped on a plane to Spain for another art filled adventure. She joined the Antonio Povedano Art school and immersed her soul into her art. She participated in several group exhibits in Córdoba, Spain. She also had her first solo exhibit in Spain. Her most recent exhibit was in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as a member of a group exhibit.
Muna has a base in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and is a frequent traveler to Egypt as well.
